This past week in Independent Study and Mentorship has primarily been focused on the future. We spent the majority of the week in classrooms other than our own bungalow, talking to sophomores and juniors about the ISM program and all the benefits we have reaped from it. I love this time of the year, because it truly forces you to take a step back and look at the year as a whole, or both years for me. I truly owe so much to this program, and it is hard to describe the gratitude I feel for Dr. Mansour, and Coach Goff. The experience and knowledge I have gained is entirely beyond my years, and it is knowledge and wisdom that will carry me confidently into the future. I know that I am better equipped for college, better equipped for internships, and better equipped for the real world because of this program, and I can confidently say that it has helped to shape the person I want to become. Everyday, I am thankful for Dr. Mansour's willingness to take me under his wing in the first place, because without him none of this would be possible. I am excited for the future, and grateful for what I have learned.
