This past week in ISM has been a pretty relaxed one. It was actually rather nice to be able to kind of take a break and breath for a little bit, as one of the things I have struggled with this year is being present and in the moment. With so many lasts as a senior, I really want to soak in every moment and every single bit of knowledge I can. With Final Product and Final Presentation sneaking up so quickly, it is hard to believe that this year is going so fast. I have been so anxious to get in to the operating room this year, that I have almost forgotten how much of a blessing it is to simply be able to meet with Dr. Mansour and shadow him in clinic. It has truly taught me so much and I am so grateful for his guidance and his willingness to take the time to help me learn about the field of surgical oncology. On that note, however, I am excited that, thanks to Ms. Singletary's diligence and incredible work, we have been able to come up with a solution for the operating room situation. I will get a two day pass into the UTSW operating rooms, which I am so grateful for.
