These past few weeks have been filled with both Independent Study and Mentorship work as well as college work. Although I have already been accepted into Baylor and have decided to go to Baylor University in the fall, I am now in the midst of submitting housing applications, finding a roommate, applying for scholarships and making sure I have all my ducks in a line for next year. I am excited for next year, and was incredibly excited to find out that I had been accepted into the University Scholars program, as well as the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core and the Honors Program. The University Scholars program is an exceptional program, as it accepts only 50 students from the incoming freshman class and it gives these students to essentially design their own major. It allows for emphasis on a specified area, and it truly prepares students for graduate school and the working world. On another note, I have completed my original work for this year, and I am truly excited about it. I believe that it will allow me to excel in my final product this year and will set my paper up for success. It will give me a broader range of data to analyze, therefore making it more reliable and data-oriented.
